Welcome to Charlotte Creek

Our Story

Charlotte Creek was founded by Tony, who began his journey by consulting for an avocado farm. One of the business partners in that project asked Tony to supply a new type of edible flower that was difficult to source. This led to the successful cultivation of special violas, and soon after, other edible flowers such as cornflowers, nasturtium leaves, and marigolds followed.

From his consultancy experience and background in horticulture, Tony also learned to adapt native bush tucker into commercial production, leading to a blossoming range of items. The idea of producing edible flowers and other items that can’t be treated with chemicals, using a sustainable approach to ensure a reliable supply of these unique products.

Today, Charlotte Creek is dedicated to providing high-quality, fresh, and locally-sourced edible flowers and bush foods to enhance your culinary creations.

Food Safety

At Charlotte Creek, we prioritise food safety and quality by using no pesticides and employing biological control to manage pests and diseases. Our products are picked and placed into the fridge within 20 minutes to maintain freshness, and we constantly uphold cleanliness practices. Tony personally oversees the picking, packing, and dispatching of all products, ensuring they meet our high standards.

Reliability & Quality

We ensure consistent quality and supply by adhering to strict quality control measures. Nothing goes out that isn't top quality and everything is picked to order. Almost all of our products are available year-round, as we modify growing conditions to ensure a steady supply, even for seasonal items.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of our operations. We employ sustainable farming practices, such as using fertiliser through water to prevent environmental leakage and carefully monitoring our processes. We minimise waste by reusing all our soil, and our packaging is 100% recyclable. Everything we do is designed to be sustainable, as it's both environmentally responsible and cost-effective.

Being Local

Our products are grown locally from a state-of-the-art greenhouse in Gidgegannup, Western Australia. Our founder, Tony, also known as the ‘old man from the hills’ is from Western Australia, along with our employees. We also source our products locally, using Australian fertilisers, seeds and nurseries. We collaborate with local businesses, including WA nurseries, and sell our products within WA.
